Death Penalty
When you die, you lose a part of your experience, skill tries and mana spent.
x is your level and y is your total experience.
The loss is reduced by:
- Promotion: 30% less loss.
- Blessings: each blessing multiplies the loss by
0.92. Withyblessings, the loss isx * 0.92^y, wherexis the loss before blessings. - Unfair fight: when a player deals the last hit, or players dealt at least 5% of the damage you took in the last 60 seconds, the levels of all players who damaged you in that time are added together. If this sum is higher than your level, the loss is multiplied by
your level / sum of levels. The loss is never lower than 20% of the normal loss.
Item loss
- With all blessings, you do not lose any items, unless you have a red or black skull. An Amulet of Loss is not necessary.
- With a red or black skull, you lose all your items. Blessings and Amulet of Loss do not protect you.
- Players below level 100 do not lose any items, unless they have a white, red or black skull.
- Players up to level 50 get all blessings for free when they log in.
Blessings
Blessings are sold by temple NPCs. You can buy them one by one, or all five together.
All five blessings together cost five times the price of one blessing.
Twist of Fate
The Twist of Fate is a sixth, special blessing. It is sold by the same temple NPCs, but it is not included when you buy all five blessings together.
- It does not reduce the death penalty or the chance to lose items.
- It works only when other players dealt at least half of the damage you took in the last 60 seconds before your death. Damage from their summons counts as their damage.
- When it works, you lose only the Twist of Fate. Your other blessings stay, and your Amulet of Loss does not break.
- When it does not work, you lose your other blessings as usual, but the Twist of Fate stays.
- With a red or black skull, the Twist of Fate does not protect your Amulet of Loss.
- Players up to level 50 get the Twist of Fate for free together with the other blessings.
Amulet of Loss
The Amulet of Loss protects your items on death, and breaks when you die, unless the Twist of Fate saves it. You can buy it from Eremo on his island.
